Got up early to watch the rugby ,,,,,,,,Ireland beaten .When the game ended I headed to Greystones and set up in hope of wrasse. I fished 2 rods, 1 out, 1 in , and I got a doggie and a whiting on the first cast at distance. Sea was like a mill pond with the wind smoothing it over and the whiting , at about 10cms, was the biggest of four I had at distance . I wasnt disappointed by the wrasse, there were plenty around , and though tricky to catch(I lost 4 rigs), I got great enjoyment for my few hours there. I got a nice orange coloured Ballan, covered in sea lice, which made a nice change from the many corkwings. There were also some pollock and coalies which were hammering the rag as soon as it hit the water. One other guy fishing there, caught a few pollock and whiting. I was going to go at about 10-30am but the fish were still biting so I opened another pack of rag, ,,and stayed till I ran out of bait at 12-30pm. A nice spot to spend a few hours
