Recommended areas donegal 2006

Hi all,

Just wondering has anyone been fishing any areas in and around the downings area or at least that side of donegal....Anyone recommend anywhere that might be worth a chuch this month?????Bait, species and tequniques would also be a great help...cheers

Off the rocks at Tra-na-Rossan might be worth a go. Near to where you're staying at any rate.

Yea fish here alot theres a few cracking spots between tra na rossan and melmore head....dont think anyones been their with a rod in years...to dangerous maybe

Have to agree. Certainly a lot of stamping up and down hills to get to some of the marks....

This is the area im on about sandman up and over the hill at the right handside of tra na rossan(look out tower at top hill) this is also why i need a rucksack lol......great looking spot with views of tory....not one for night fishing though :cry:

ps half way between tra na rossan and melmore head

dont think it needs to be mate....u shud see the 360 view from the spot where that photo is taken....great for spottting new marks :D :D.....Maybe ive give to much info away already ill let ya know how its fishes next weekend.....roll on saturday

Mebbe. :? I was going to edit out the precise details on your posting to protect the mark, but then again I thought that if anyone really really wants to go yomping all over those hill, good luck to them! :D It certainly aint going to be like parking up on a pier and fishing out of the back of the car boot.

That one's for dedicated hillwalking anglers only, methinks! :P

Nobody will ever find it in a million years its one for the rucksaks, first aid kits etc etc :shock: .....Do you know the mark? it even has a name.....going to keep it secret for a while....Maybe one for the shoremarks.....i'll be bringing the digi camera just for prove if anything special turns up.....had flounder the left ogf the big rock on the beach before


There is an easier way to get to the mark which involves no hill climbing at all.....although that involves scary looking swans, cow dung, sheep dung etc etc....
