Louth Beach 27 September 2011

#1 Post by johnwest »

People:Me

Duration:11.00pm until 1.30 am

Tide:High water @ midnight

Weather:Nice onshore breeze, warm and dry

Bait:Lug, sandeel

Rigs:One hook clipped and 2 hook flapper alternate casts

Results: Not even a bite

Report:
Big tide, nice onshore breeze and fresh bait, why not go fishing? Unfortunately the onshore breeze frequently produces lots of weed here which festooned the rigs every cast, though I've seen it much worse. However after two and a half hours I had harvested enough seaweed to keep the Bull McCabe in fertiliser for a year so home to bed.

i dont think their will be many spots without weed with that southerly a few days of force 5 or six easterly would clear it but i dont think that will happen for a while

Hard luck! Nothing, meaning no fish, on Gormanston beach, some weed but fishable!
