A Wicklow Beach 23/09/2011

#1 Post by dfella25 »

People:Gordy, Bren Canning, Myself

Duration:4 till 11pm

Tide:HT around 9

Weather:Dry and SSW wind

Bait:Crab was the killer!

Rigs:Flappers

Results:Coalies, Codling, whiting, flounder and bass

Report:We decided to try for some winter species and hit a spot that produces early on. Also was a good chance of bass along this beach. Bren had the crab and landed a nice fat codling early doors. Followed by two bass 39cm each. Myself and Gordy were not as lucky with rag, lug, razor not doing the business at all.

At HT we decided to head but Bren stayed on with a gut feeling. Oh and some more freaking crabs in his box too! He was right to stay on as he landed two bigger bass on the drop.

Nice to see the round fish starting to show up. Haven't seen many all summer!

You should have splashed out on some crab you cheapskate  . I think I recognise that white background, this new program is great at removing it  . Nice fishing by the way,,,,,I was thinking a few bass might show with those winds

Hey Matt only Bren had the joy. I wouldn't mind I'd peelers in my hand and put them back in my freezer before I left.

As for the Dublin top............. It's not an LFC shirt so Don't care;)
