a busy wickla beach 18-9-11

#1 Post by roger de dodger »

People:mitch fishface and me

Duration:7 till 10

Tide:low

Weather: magic

Bait:rag un crab

Rigs:pulleys and 3 hook cascade

Results:10 hounds (no belters but good sport) a load of flounder ,dabs ,dogs and gurnard with a splattering of 15 cm whiting as well

Report:
last minute decision to go out as the poxy rain and wind had eezed off 8) so made a few calls and found out mitch was down south of bray setting up camp for a few hours ,got down and set up but to be honest i wasnt hoping for much as it was low water and i was only out for a few hours r&r after working sat and sun ,both rods never stopped all night ,went to relax but to be honest i dont think i sat on my seatbox for more than 5 min all night ,even fish face managed 4 hounds  with gerry pulling in 3 and me on two the lads headed off home i put out my last crab bait and managed a flounder dab smoothy treble on my last cast ,the smoothy was prob the smallest of the night not much bigger than a wow wow but at least i didnt waste a peeler  had a go for a ray after dark out at distance but eels where pulling dogfish every cast
