North wexford Smoothie 02/08

SouthPeople:me a mate and kevin from the site

Duration:from half 8 till 1

Tide:rising high at 12ish

Weather:lovely

Bait:rag, lug, crab and squid

Rigs:flappers, pulleys

Results:pb smoothie :D , whiting and a doggie




Report:
headed to a mark to get out for the nite, havnt fished since being back from achill, fishing started slow with small bites on both rods but no hook ups, changed down hook size of flapper and small whiting caught, blank saved, around half ten the distance rod took a leap grabbed it and started to reel it in, fish on :D wasnt stripping line but was resisting with great success and thru the small shore surf out popped a nice pb smoothie, last fish was a nice sized doggie

Thanks for all the replies lads, I knew it was a pb because of the size and now i know how to weigh them without hurtn them I'll be back for more even if its next season :D :D :D time for some big flatties next or maybe a sneaky ray
