Its a huge area that you can cover from Roundstone. Plenty of Pollack over the reefs around the Skeirds and mile rock. Rubber eels and worms work well. Baited feathers over broken ground for whiting, gurnard and the odd Cod. If the weather is bad and you need to stay inshore theres lots of Ray and Huss. All you will need is mackeral. The only species thats uncommon in the area are flatfish though you may get some dabs.
Good luck

Re: roundstone galway
hi all, sorry for delay in the report.
Fished on saturday, sunday, six lads each day.
Weather not so good big swells so we ducking and diving between the islands.
Fishing for bait was slow not many mackeral and a few sand eel.
After that we had pollack, poutting, cod, coalie, whiting ,gurnard, ballen and cuckoo wrasse, plaice, thornback ray and dogfish.
Overall a good place to fish with the added bonus of some fantastic scenery.
regards mick.
