The eyes are little dumb bells readily available from any good flytying online store. Using them I find induces much more movement in the fly, especially between pulls, the fly tends to dive. The reason I use the blue is that Joey mackerel appear to be of a more vivid blue than the adult, which is obviously green. Quite frankly I don't think it would matter! Work away with copying them, I have had great success this year with them!
