Report:
got home from work and decided to quell my homicidal tendency for big brother and go wet a line back playing up a bit so hadnt been out since last week ,on my way down to the mark i met some lunatic in a jeep on a bad bend was waiting for mirrors to smash but we both managed to avoid it at the last minute ,was getting my gear out when the phone went confirming my theory of a lunitic behind the wheel of the jeep!mitch informed me he had plucked a few siver lads out of the surf on the mark i was at  happy days if you have some lug or rag with ya  tried half crab and razor cocktails for the first while without even a tap ,sparkey came over to say hello and told me he had had a 4lb hound and lost a bass in the surf ,at 11 ish i decided to use my last two crab out at distance sent out a whole peeler as far as my back would allow and sat down for more meditation after twenty minutes the rod tip bowed and then the line fell onto the beach happy to see a bit i wound down and felt a few tugs ,nothing big but not a doggie 8) out pops a 3lb er thank god blank saved ,last crab sent to the same spot in a hurry last smoke rolled and lit two minutes later same bite as first only this time when i strike the fish it pulls 10 yards of line back ,nice scrap followed with my conoflex source doing what it does best 8) got him up onto the beach opened his gob to unhook him and the hook all but falls out  packed up after i sent gordy a pic as he is down in kerry (and not sending me any pics of fish!!) few pics later if my camera saved any every time i took one it switched off cos of low batterys

Well done Roger, we seen the camera go off! Or what we thought was a flash! We had a good nite to, I had 6 from 4-7lb and 2 about 2-3. They wer still taking the bait when we wer packing up at half 3. We just ran out off crab so had to head home. Paul who I was fishing with also had a 30+ flounder to, which was a massive bonus.
