I have taken all advice about a jerkbait reel from abu to penn.

i read a report about the six shooter and it looks fun.

anyone know of them. just for a mini rod jerkbait style chucking plugs.

report was on pike 10lb so was wondering would it be ok for sea work for pollock and bass.

hi pookie
i got a 2nd hand one for playing with cheap from t&t in bangor.
I put it onto the ugly stik mini rod but found the rings were too far apart for a multiplier.(my mini rod is 6ft).
It now lives on a ron thompson axellurator jerk bait rod.
I can cast easily and quite far with heavy lures (bulldawgs etc) and it can throw the light lures quite a bit as well.
But,I havent caught any pike on it yet so can't say what it behaves like under load.
e-bay does some nice daiwa baitcasters from around £20 so have a look there.

best wishes
cky :D
