Targeting different species
I was wondering what peoples opinions on targeting different species on the one rig are. I occasionally fish a mark that produce ray and smoothies. My question is, if using a 2 hook flowing trace, am i best off baiting one hook with sandeel and the other one with crab to target both, or bait both with sandeel and then rebait after a while with crab on both hooks. Any body have any opinions on this ?

Re: Targeting different species
I would go with the first option use 2 different baits and see what species is on the feed. If they are both on the feed then you are covered. If only one species is on the feed then you still have bait in the water. Its know harm to have 2 different bait scents in the water either.steol5589 wrote:I was wondering what peoples opinions on targeting different species on the one rig are. The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
