Re: port beach, co. louth 9/8/11
Hi Carp, i fish that area a lot, from dunany point to port beach and this year it has been the worst i've seen in 5 years. Even local lads that i fish with from clogherhead are getting nothing. There is a lot of "local gossip" going around that a boat was boarded by the navy around that area 2 weeks ago and that there was 80 bass on board, they were supposed to be freelining lures out the back of the boat and the boat was seen a lot in that area. I have checked the fisheries board etc and seen nothing about it but one thing is for sure, nobody i know is catching anything. But like i said, its local gossip and thats all it could be.
