W Waterford, 2nd, 3rd & 4th July

#1 Post by Stan »

People:Me plus 4 others

Duration:2.5 hours each day

Tide: last 2.5 hours up to top

Weather: 2nd beautiful & 3rd not nice

Bait: Lugs & Razors

Rigs: 1 or 2 hook

Results: loads and loads of bass.

Report: On 2nd decided to return to a spot that had given great results earlier in week. Brought some friends and they were doubtful that results would match my predictions. :?: :?: Everyone got bass. :D :D After 17 bass I had 3 worms left. On second last cast I managed a double for 19 and had 1 miserable little lug left. Last cast and I reckoned no bass in its right mind would go for such a small worm. A little scut of a fish grabbed it. ......he was my little scut and brought the total to the magic 20. :D  :D The water was boiling all around us and everyone had fish.

The fish were schoolies averaging 1.5 -2.5lb. The crack was mighty. Most fish were returned to fight another day.
On 3rd we had a similar performance with a total of 24 bass. :D :D

Out this morning to another venue but got nothing. Conditions were perfect but the weed was brutal. Ah well we needed the rest
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Great session, well done.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!
