DUGORT PIER, CO MAYO, 26:07:2011

#1 Post by MayoMan »

Me, Ruari, Gerryand Margaret

Sardine flapper, Jellyworms, Sidewinder sandeel, Feathers and a Muppet rig

6 Pollack, 2 Bass, 1 Ling, 1 Sea Trout, 1 Conger, 2 Bull huss, and 1 Ray!!

Decided to head to Dugort for the day so went the beach in the morning  , Then went to the pier towards the left, Used 4 rods and had a great time  . Started with two Ling on Muppets, Closely followed by a suprise Sea Trout on An orange jellyworm. After 2 hours we were going to leave and head back to the B&B in Newport when suddenly a 10lb+ Conger struck the Sardine and when reeling in A small bass hit the Sidewinder! 20 Minutes later Pollack took the feathers twice at a time 3 times. When Another Bass which was much larger than the previous one struck the Sidewinder. A Bull Huss then took the Sardine flapper. After two more hours we were about to leave again when another Bull huss struck! We finished a fab day with Maggie getting a Fantastic Ray!! :D :)
