BUNCRANNA PIER, SWILLY

#1 Post by nicki d »

People: JOHN AND MYSELF

Duration:9AM - AFTERNOON

Tide: UP

Weather: CALM THEN ROUGH

Bait: SANDEELS MACK SQUID

Rigs: PULLY

Results: JOHN 2 RAY 1 DOG 1 RED GURNARD
MYSELF 5 RAY 1 RED GURNARD

Report:
Because of alot of our marks are fishing well now and knowing it would be hard to get onto them, john and myself got up early to fish off the pier at buncanna where myself and my daughter took 15 ray between us and mackeral dabs and dogs last year.
We arrived about 9am and both set up two rods and my first cast a nice 5lb ray, it was a good 45min before another one for me. but it was very slow the rest of the day with it ending with john with 2 ray, 1 dog, 1 red gurnard and myself with 5 ray, 1 red gurnard and a nice fresh mackeral and my best ray nearly 10lb so a nice mission badge again.
All in all not as good as i thought it might be but just happy to get out and catch.
