Report:
myself and pinky decided on an all nighter on rathmullen pier expecting to find it full of bashers got there and only 1 other person there so he was on the left side we headed to the the right with the tide coming in happy days we started to set up heads in the boot of the car getting sorted out we heard the noise behind us our other companion had moved to we're we were the cheeky p---k chat about ignorant so we went to the left instead,
1st cast pinky set up with a single pully rig an duely landed 2 ray 1st cast she hooked a loose rig and she never got a single bite the rest of the night but she was hilarious listening to her help me help me,
i started to feather for mack but they were in short supply but got 2 small pollock about 1lb each well out ,the night was perfect no wind at all pitch black but the fish were'nt playing ball at all 2 small ray for myself and a nice rockling of 32 cms
as the light came back some dogs and another ray for myself showed up pinky was well asleep with the rain appearing we packed up and headed for home
myself pinky and MC headed to fanad sunday morning got to the lighthouse we were on our own nobody there got started MC got off to a flyer with rays crawling up his rod and wrasse on his float rod i eventually got a ray and a few dogs
mc handed his float rod to pinky and 1st cast out she had a nice we pollock and a nice wrasse and continued with wrasse all day to mc had to leave, pollock and wrasse made up most of the days fun with some ray i even got a nice spottrd ray
i sneaked a we go with MC'S float rod a nd got the best pollock of the day pinky was'nt to pleased as 1 of hers was best till then but as far as the bottem fishing at the lighthouse was concerned it was very poor same as the pier 2 nights previous so maybe the best has yet to come on the swilly marks

great fishing guys. we were at those 2 same marks last weekend and were getting a thornie a cast at the lighthouse, but they were all small around 1lb - 2lb. plenty of bashers at rathmullan cleaning up filling buckets with macks an hour before HW. still seem patchy enough on the ground thow.
