Report:

Her indoors has begun her eight week summer away trip to her bolthole in Wexford. So after work on Friday, I decided to mosey on down to see how she was getting’ on. On the off shot that I might get the tides right I decided to bung in two beach casters and a spinnin’ rod and me trusty shovel and bucket.
I arrived, as I thought, just in time to begin diggin’ for rag. But her indoors tells me that it’s after been spillin’ all day, so the diggin’ ground was flooded.
Lucky, the last time I was down with her indoors I lashed some mac into her deep freeze. Took meself off to Curracloe beach on Saturday evenin’ and nar a sinner in sight. Fished here for three hours before I slogged my way back to her indoors for the night.
Up early the next mornin' tryin’ ta catch low tide but the weather put paid to any plans I had for diggin’ bait. Forced to sit it out fort a few hours. Decided to take off to Cahore pier for the afternoon and brought some frozen mac with me. I had also intended to try and cast for a few mackies to see if they were about. But when I got the place was crawlin’ with families and youngsters pier jumpin’ so that put a stop ta any plans I had for spinnin.’ By 6pm the water was drainin’ so I decided to once again traipse back to her indoors and put me feet up for the weekend.
Ah well, there’s always next weekend.
One more cast and I'll be off
