Specimen Bass - 19th June

#1 Post by Pat »

Species: Bass

Specimen Weight: 10lb

Location: Cork

Bait: Soft Plastics

Rigs: SP

Report: For the last three to four seasons we've been giving SP's a good lash with some great fish. It was only a matter of time before we managed one over the magical 10lb mark...and so it was, just days after the season reopened, I managed this beauty on an SP. The fish measured 80cm in length and 40cm in girth. On the BASS tape the fish should have come in at 12lb, but being so early in the season the fish was lean and when weighed on my certified scales came in at 10lb 2oz. Back she went and with a bit of luck some fortunate angler may pick her up later in the season when she's put on a bit of weight. Hope its me  !
