Newcastle to killkeel

Just wondered if anybody has ever fished below the costal road when you leave newcastle past the small peir and head towards killkeel...i found myself down this way today and have to say i nearly found myself in an accident looking down from the road while trying to drive...looks a spot with plenty of potential...Anyone ever tryed along here??????????? looking for shore reports cant find any...Advise and help would be greatly appreciated

HC - I have looked longingly at this area too - It looks like a good spot.

Although acess to it is difficult and I would only try it on a calm day.....

I'll give you the honour of giving it a bash first....

The area u probably looked at is the Bloody Bridge. I was down in Newcastle on 26/2/06 and spoke to a few local guys and was told that the area is very rocky. But it has been known to turn out some good catches in the summer months.
Be ready for a hell of a climb as it is supposed to be down over rocks before you even get near the shore.

Was down the day had a look glourious weather and the sea was very calm looks a few good marks btween annoulne and killkeel
