ya really enjoyed that read on the beara alrite,,,what an amout of species,,,you have to hand it to the kerry council and the people of kerry themselves for making the most of the county and putting it out to others for a place to come visit.the whole west coast of ireland is like that.all it takes for the other counties to have fishing events like this is a bit of organisation and hard work and after a few years it will all be up and running.gettin 200 people one year could make it 500 the next etc.its all word of mouth,,,i know the area back in west mayo from belmullet right down to and past achill have some of the countrys most underestimated and unseen landscapes with some of the finest shore marks that are unheard of too.surely the people of the belmullet peninsula could do alot more for themselves by organising something like this,i suppose they have the gas now so they aint bothered

My (Cork born) wife just wishes to point out that although she has the greatest admiration for what the Kerry people and Council have achieved most of the Beara Peninsula is in County Cork and in particular the part that was featured in the article.

ps. don't shoot the messanger!!
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.
