Small craft Warnings?

#1 Post by nicefish »

When checking the weather forecast on Met eireann for the last six weeks there was hardly a day gone by when they hadn't issued a small craft warning. when Met eireann gives a small craft warning does this warning apply to the whole country? and does this make sense?

Take a look at the day's Met Eireann web forecast, see http://www.met.ie/forecasts/sea-area.asp

You will see, on the top of the page, the area to which the warning relates.

Took the tender out to the boat yesterday to check on it... took me 20 minutes of hard rowing and the sweat was pouring off me.... finished up on the boat, hopped into the tender and the wind pushed be back ashore in about 45 seconds....

The amount of growth at the waterline makes me wonder why I even bothered putting her on the mooring... :(
