Cahore
People:Har Harry Denny and myself
Duration:10 to 5
Tide:loads of it
Weather: fresh wnw winds and some serious showers
Bait:rag macks squid launce crab
Rigs:various
Results:Ray Tope Whiting lsd's Huss Hounds Macks
Report: last minute arrangements last night seen myself and Harry hitting the road to meet up with har and denny for our first trip on the same boat this year we were aboard har's boat lizzy. we fished around cahore, to be honest fishing was not too hectic after about the first hour i was in to a nice 10lb thornback ray a welcome site after a few dogs.
then harry conected with the first hound of about 3lb rag then har connected with one on the spinning rod great scrap on light gear a 5.5 lb fish was landed.
i only got one hound myself was after bigger things,in between more hounds dogs and whiting harry had a small thornie about 4lb,then i had a nice run fish dropped it, bait back down few minutes later another run struck the fish fairly quickly fish tope of 22lb came over the gunnel thanks har, fish was perfectly hooked in the scissors of the mouth to a full squid bait.about an hour later i hooked and landed my second 10lb thornback of the day.
we had no camera with us but took a couple of pictures of my fish on the phone so not great quality.all in all a great day out with great crack and great company.
