South East Surf Bass.

#1 Post by Ashley Hayden »

Floating weed due to the southerly winds this last week caused problems during a surf casting session after bass resulting in a change of venue twice. Perseverance paid off however with the third port of call producing a result to fresh razor. Not the biggest but at three pounds plus a welcome fish.

Goo man Ashley on moving. The tides and winds this week in Wexford were mad with all sorts getting blown in. Never mind the weed but where the hell does all the styrofoam come from after a blow :?: :!:

:) nice one and fair play for sticking it out!similar thing happened to us last week down south we tried over 5 beachs and weed was thick on all of them!decided to hit a pier mark and got a few doggies to beat the blank :( woulndt have minded a bass like that to make things all the sweeter after the frustration of having to keep re-locating well done fine fish

Yes Ed and I were determined not to be bet by the conditions, with plenty of fresh razor we knew if we found a clear beach that bass were on the cards, in the end we caught three, not big but hey next time.

As for the smoothies according to my diary they visit those very stones Roger from July onwards.
