People: Me Jacko and Emma

Duration:4hours

Tide:ebbing

Weather:fresh southerly

Bait:Rag, crab and razor

Rigs:Flowing trace

Results:16 Wrasse to 3 1/2lbs, 1 codling, 2 whiting and a dab.

Report: We decided to go out for a few hours to see could we get Emma her first fish and to be honest we didn't have to wait long at all. We first tried behind the west pier with no joy so we went over behind the east pier to try a few drifts, we met yappo who said they had a few so we started a drift using a flowing trace with a single rag and it was so effective. Hits and hook ups every drift. Emma hooked into a fish on the second drift which nearly pulled the rod out of her hand. With a little help from her brother she managed to land her first ever fish a small codling. Jacko again managed to out fish me with 12 wrasse the whiting and the dab. It was great to get out for a few hours and not so good to be out fished by my twelve year old.
