I would like to echo what Joe said.

Last years fundraisers helped the team considerably.

If you can make these events, your support would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It would be great to see all the angers in the country coming out to support the national team.

We had great support last year and came back as World Champions.

With your support we can retain the title again this year.

Hope to see you on the beaches :D

UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

No HOUNDS on the West Coast { at all , at any time of the year }
Would be great to kill 2 birds with 1 stone ,
Support the team and maybe nab a HOUND OR 2 .

It just seems strange for the shore team and casting team fundraising competitions to be on the same night.
Its a pity that anglers will now have to make a choice which one to fish.
One of my club mates is on the casting team and i am fishing with the lads on the shore team most weekends,so which ever one i go to someone feels let down.

On behalf of the irish shore team we would appreciate all the help we can get ,we are traveling over a week extra on our own expense and for the other were on the minimum wage, to prepare and give us every opportunity to bring that GOLD MEDALhome two years in a row and duplicate the great achievement the lads had last year for our country. We hope to see ye on the beaches to support us

This is just typical of the Irish they can’t even get a fund raiser right.

I would strongly advise both parties to get their act together and sort out this problem.

There are anglers out there who want to support both sides but now they are left with a case of support one and offending the other or play safe and staying neutral and supporting neither.

My best advice to both sides is to drop the clashing date and find a new one.

I’m willing to travel to meet both parties and stand in the middle to help sort out new dates.

If Penn points are involved I’m almost certain that Alan Yates would have no problem in a change of date as both these competitions would be class as local competitions and would not be drawing in anglers from the UK

Can both parties not just combine the comp to one comp for both our Irish teams, make life easier for people, plus you will have a bigger turn out,
Both teams get s**t funding from the federation, the casting team get nothin at all. I've no idea what the shore team get but bet it's not to much either

Before this situation gets totally out of hand and the mud slinging starts lets not loose sight of the fact that both teams require support!

I cannot attend either comp as I'm away on that date so, I will be paying my entry fee to both parties to support each team. If i was able to fish ( and probably win both lets be honest :D ) great but I can't do either.

If you are willing and able to support both teams please do so, fish one of the comps and pay entry for the other, not ideal but workable.

slightly off the off topic is there any requirements for entry apart from entry fee, do you have to be a member of a club etc and what way does the scoring work :?:

Hi Lads
Thanks for your posts , to answer JOHN1 s question ,why is last years WORLD CHAMPIONS not defending their title ? The selection process in place is that the team is picked through the fish-off weekend , saying that i myself thought the same as you ?? Maybe this is one for the national AGM ? DARRAGH2 There is nothing at all wrong with Either the West or North coasts !!! I love fishing up there , will try to set up a days fishing fundraiser up nort or west or somewhere between ? Need a club up there to get involved RSVP ??? SEANIE35 The entry fee for these comps is 20 euro , obviously in these current times we need everyone on the beach so no pressure , all donations more than welcome , Thanks Seanie !! And to finish up all entrants must be affiliated to IFSA .
Tanks again to all ,
Joe Byrne
