late night competition

#1 Post by mawk »

People:
just
Duration:
3.30am to 5am
Tide:
thundering out
Weather:
clear cool
Bait:
lures
Results:
2 coalfish, 1 pollack

Report:
I finished work late on thursday and I like to relax into the weekend now and then with a fish or two.

I arrived at the Bridge (well lit) and started setting up, just as a heron set up shop next to me. challenge accepted!
A slow start for both of us, nothing for about 30mins but with the tide slowing a little I picked up two coalies of about a lb each. feeling the spirit the heron suddenly launched into action and equalized with two small fish, which I couldnt identify in the dark/distance. just as the dawn was starting to break I wound into a nice pollack at which point the heron heron got the hump, squawked at me and flew away.
he knew he was bested far as I was concerned.

then home to bed
