What a day to sit on a pier and draw a blank, it was a wonderful day and people where coming up and telling us how at the begining of the week people where catching Pollack from a hole at the back of the pier bur to be careful of the seaweed one man reported mack being caught. Well for 5 hours we tried every method we could think of and not even a crab appeared.
Met another man from Muff who mainly uses his boat, he told us to try the swilly and Inch Pier so tomorrow we are of to Inch.

Crab is normally the No1 bait from Malin, but any kind of East wind kills the fishing from Shore around here. There seems to be mixed reports from other parts of the country about how the east wind affects the fishing, I havn't noticed any difference from the boat, but from the shore it definitely has a big impact.
Personally I wouldn't go near Inch pier, Culdaff or Leenan would be a much better option!
Cheers
Paddy
