Quick report- fished greystones north yesterday evening. Had intended to fish south beach but a test cast produced a broken mainline due to weight of weed
Decided to hit the more sheltered north beach and it was indeed weed free. Only two doggies landed and another lost in the surf. Nothing in close on the scratching rod but couldn't hang around for darkness to see if the flounder started feeding. One of the doggies coughed up half a sandeel when I was unhooking him which I found interesting as I didn't think they were active predators??!Anyway, good to be out and find a weed free spot after all those easterlies. Tight lines.
