Co, Sligo Rock spinning Session April 19th 2011

#1 Post by FisherKing »

People:Myself

Duration:2 Hrs

Tide:Stranding

Weather:Sw wind, bright, sunny & very hot!!

Bait:Spinner

Results: 2 Pollock

Report:

Haven't had much to report for the past few weeks as I couldn't fish my main marks due to very big sweels running the past while
but luckly got a day that was fishable near low water so I wasted no time grabed the rod & made my down to the mark & hooked a pollock on the third cast but she managed to get under a ledge & eventually got free  at this stage the tide was getting to low for this mark so I made my way to another spot about a mile further down & got spinning, after ten minutes got a great take & landed a nice 3 lb Pollock not a very big one but give one great scrap 8) picked up another small one after but had to retreat as I was starting to to look like a the red crab in the pic with the hot sun  that i got another day with about ten starfish not much else. but there are plenty of fish around the problem is getting the right conditions to fish them, but I'll be back!!
