Buncrana pier co donegal 27/4/11

People:Me and Tom

Duration:9am til 3ish

Tide:flooding

Weather:slight breeze but warm

Bait:sandeel mack and lug

Rigs:pullys and flappers

Results:1 ray




Report:I was to meet Tom at Leenan this morning but on the way there he texted to say the wind was bad there so a reroute to Buncrana
It was quiet all day with Tom getting 2 good knocks but no hook ups
at about 11am I had a big bang on my multi rod out at distance and a nice ray which tip the scales at 8lb was on the pier
I was chuffed as this is my personal best ray :lol:
We started packing up at 2.30 as the mackeral bashers were starting to appear
not much fish but a good days craic as ever

coalfish,plaice,dab flounder,turbot,sea trout,thornback ray,pollock,ling,mackeral
