well, myself and jason headed out for our usual monday session,we decided to hit a north mayo beach for the first time this year, this beach never disappoints, and it produced again,we put two rods each out,one in for flounder and one out a bit father to see what was there, first cast i got a treble of flounder, and jason got a double, and for the next four hours it was a fish a cast, big ones, small ones, medium ones,a man could barely get a chance for a coffee! then jason got a good fish and when he landed it,we got a surprise when we saw it was a double sided flounder,(see the pic) by the time we finished up four hours later, after running out of bait,i had 24 flounder,9 over the 30cm mark, jason had 23 flounder,11 over the 30cm mark,a cracking mark that never lets us down, and i got to try out some new rigs.

brilliant flounder fishing. great result
just out of interest.. do you, or anyone else on the forum here, kill and eat flounder or flatties over 30cm..??
would there be sufficent meat on there to make it worthwhile or would there be another general length that you are prepared to kill them..?
thanks
weird wee flounder there indeed

just got my car back today, contrary to the belief of at least 4-5 so called expert mechanics and Landrover specialists it turned out that only the wastegate regulator on the turbo was banjaxed, all hunky dory now, time to plan a flatty session me thinks
