Duration:12.30pm - 4pm ish
Tide:2.30pm approx high
Weather:Gorgeous, lots of lycra clad lovelies to oogle
Bait: Mackerel strips and fat juicy ragworm
Rigs:Baited feathers,double runners and 2/3 hook flappers
Results: Lovely little corkwing wrasse for myself
Report: Checked forecast midweek and decided it was time to dust off the gear since it's been so long since my last outing (Waterfoot club competition)
Bait was booked and bought/defrosted and I had 3 rods in the water by 12.30. Had a great whack of a bite about 15mins later that almost took the rod off the railing but upon inspecting it was gone
Fished here a few times so far and it hasn't really produced, the annual comp produces lots so makes me wonder are local species dying or being mistreated during such a catchfest? Or has the weather been too cold up until recent weeks for much to show itself. Anyhow, good to get out fishing after a 3week break or so and finally end my long running blank
