this is weird - i was just talking to nthclare last week about the bomber rig and how he started using it again - and a handy one to make quickly
it was always the first one in the tackle shop they would try to sell to new anglers as they couldnt sell them otherwise...

Berkley gold don't get me started on that stuff, it's what I imagine unicorn hair feels like it's that special. I made rigs from it without hooks and still caught fish
But it has to be gantel for the bombers, it won't reach extreme range with any other line.
There's talk of the rig being banned too I heard?
Is Richard holgate on here by any chance he'd know for certain.

Richard who ? I Heard the bomber liston invented it during an all Ireland final when he got so boared he decided to try and catch a few fish for the train journey back to the kingdom
