Wexford beach Mark 25th March

#1 Post by Ste »

People: Myself and Sugarloaf95

Duration: 8pm - 11.30pm

Weather: dry and calm

Bait: Rag and Peeler

Rigs: 2 & 3 hook flappers

Results: 3 dogs, 4 rockling, 1 flounder, 2 coalies

Report:

Every time we reeled in to check the bait, the hooks were either stripped or there were fish on the end that we didn't know were there until we felt the extra weight. The rods were never hopping, and it's not like the dogs were small. Only one of them put up a good fight though.

These are the only pics I got.

Nice photos. The last pic of the dog and flounder is brilliant. looks like the doggie's on center stage under a spot light. Or the poster for a horror film.

I'll have to get a measuring tape, the dog in the first photo and last photo were approx the same size, caught at the same time. And the rockling was pretty big too. They were the first 4 fish we got and didn't know there were on the lines. The dog in the centre photo was a good bit bigger and put up a fight.
