LFSAC 20.3.11

#1 Post by MC »

People:me and 8 others

Date :20/3/11

Venue:portsalon beach

Duration: 4hrs

Tide:1 of hw then dropping

Weather:very nice with offshore breeze but not too warm

Bait: everything i had, lug, mackerel, sandeel, frozen black lug

Rigs: all possible combinations of 3 hook rigs from clipped up to flappers

Results: i had a 23cm coalie, not sure of fiishing place, 5th i think, others had coalies and flounders

Report: slow night, got the coalie on mackerel missed another one 20 minutes later. There was very few fish landed and a few blanks, most of us had one fish a lucky few had 2 or more. Nothing happened at distance, and even with a powerful surf it was still possible to hold botton with 4oz gripper or less, but still had fun and was good to get out and fish my first club match of the year, dont think i'll be in the running for master angler this year
