Results: 2 bass
Report: Decided to hit the Clare coast today to see if anything was about. Hit off early so as to get a bit of lug and have a snoop around. Weather on the way down was cracking, was iffy about the day fish as the mark i was hitting to generally fishes better at night
but what the hey.... Decided that i was going to try and cover as much ground as possible and fish 3 rods at varying distances. Arrived on to the mark and started to get set up, noticed a wee bit of weed on the water line, ha i thought to myself, nothing to worry about 
The minute i got the baits out i started drawing up mounds of west coast weed 
Casting to the right of each rod and with in minutes everything was been dragged way off to the left 
Time to rethink, was caught on time so could not relocate, cut back to 2 rods. Had both out again when one of the rods had a huge clump of weed take it down to the left again, started to retrieve when near to the shore the weed started to swim Blank saved schoolie bass, did not even see the take with the weed. Tried to struggle through the weed for another 40 minutes or so but it was mad so cut back to 1 rod. At the top of the tide the weed seemed to calm for a while when i got a nice rattle, 2nd schoolie 
. That then gave me a bit of hope so i decided to try the turn of the tide, at this point i should have just gone but i struggled on for another half hour or so till the weed got so thick that the minute the line hit the water the weed was working its way up the line Eventually i called it a day, happy that blank was saved but just did not expect the level of weed that i met....
