Originally we were supposed to fish cheekpoint but due to the continuing search for the missing fisherman we decided to move to Youghal, Come 4 O'clock everyone sent out they're first cast and within 1 minute lads were hauling huge rafts of weed in
The weed was absolutley everywhere and made life tough for the first couple of hours, It seemed to clear a bit on the higher pegs and Don managed to winkle out a fish early doors. As it got to the top of the tide the Weed had cleared up a good bit making it possible fish comfortably at this point we were all fishing from the Carpark due to the size of the tide, Reports from up the beach was that Don had had a Bass and JP had got a codling while everyone else was still struggling JD beside me on Peg2 started to get a few fish and best was a Nice cod of 52cm I was getting a bit worried at this point as nearly everyone had picked up a codling or a slug, The last hour seen the best of the fishing I managed 2 in quick sucsession and Gar and Kstaff also got off the mark, In the end Don was the clear winner with 6 fish ( well done ) and JD had the longest round a 52cm Cod Eeler had a 51 pic below and and Don had the only flat caught.
