Alright Liam?

there are lots of places roundabout and all within 30-45mins of Glengormley.

If you are new/novice to fishing the easiest and safest spot to fish would be Red Bay Pier at Waterfoot or Portmuck Harbour at Islandmagee.

Click the link below for all other marks in Co. Antrim.

I have not been in Co. Down this year but I plan to get down to Donaghadee next month - see some of the reports from K2 about this mark.

I usually stick to the Antrim Coast, Red Bay, Glenarm, Carnlough etc. I was out at a club event today - I got one fish   but there was plenty caught by the other guys.

Some decent Pollock & Coalies taken.

I haven't fished Portballintrae yet, I have tried Benone & Ballycastle - both decent marks.

The fishing probably won't get good until April...... here's hoping.

Hi Big Liam. Wouldn't be a problem getting you out with the guys although you would really have to join a club. Doesn't have to be GADSAC although it would be nice to have you and your mates onboard for the craic. :D It's not a case of swelling the numbers in the club, it's more for the INSURANCE side of things. 8) You never know when you might wing someone or get a snap off and nail some nice wee person walking down the beach  . It's piece of mind. Being a club member also allows you to fish any of the IFSA opens across Ireland so it really is very good value for money.

BigLiam - as Steve says the club trips require membership for attendance, it has to do with insurance but if you are interested in joining up, check out the website below.

Alternatively - and if you want to find out more about the club - I'll let you know when I am next heading up the coast and you are welcome to join up with me and the brother. Feel free to ask any questions about the club or fishing marks, tackle shops best place for bait etc....

I have only joined GADSAC this year and I am learning a lot, fast
