yes just for new members , who have not been members before , so anyone who has joined for the first time this year already and who join before the march event when the first round of the aggregate starts with the 175grm .

Another great prize for the best newcomer again, top job on the sponsorship from the Rodfather its appreciated by everyone in the club.

Its nothing new MC we have had a rod for best newcomer every year since we started the club alongside raffle rods even a rod for top club caster once or twice, we have been lucky to have been well supported and sponsored by various people inc. Iain Golds and Zziplex amongst others.

Perpetual trophys,1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall trophys, individual lead trophys, Spud wang trophys and other prizes are all open for members to compete for each year and help contribute to makeing the club what it is.

The way I see and understand it any new member of the club in 2011 is eligible for the best newcomer trophy if they attend the 4 club specified lead days and cast and record, its down to distances after that to decide it....

You prob could join and try to win a rod but given your membership fees and how much its gonna cost you in fuel to make at least 4 x 400+ mile trips to compete you could prob buy a new rod for not much more

Still its open to all so why not go for it. It will add to the fun for everyone. I can think of a few other ppl who have only ever been daycasters at the club and would be eligible too if they where to become members.

Talking of competitions any word on the Loughs Agency Ulster Open yet Martin??
