EU seafishing lead ban

I read on another forum about the EU banning the use of lead in sea fishing, e.g. weights, pirks, leadheads (no way !!!) etc. Anyone hear anything about this or have any further details ?

Anyone have an opinion on this ?

Is this aimed at all types of lead , even non-toxic lead?

Lead lead !! Non-toxic stuff isn't at issue. Apparently it'll be acceptible if it's coated in plastic or rubber, which my stuff currently is !! Phew !!
