Ok first report

At the start of the day I had intended to fish courtown but when i got there, there was too much swell so I decided to head down the coast road and see if I could find a more sheltered spot. Decided to fish cahore pier even thougk Id never fished it before. Arrived down and it looked good with two people already fishing there took out the gear and cast out, while I baited up the other trace and waited for the squid to defrost.Reeled in and there appeared to be fish on the trace but as soon as I seen it it disappeared with a splash a few more nibbles and blank casts but then I managed a 21cm coalie

So blank saved

soon after i reeled in a 5 bearded rockling which was a new species for me

it was 19cm

but still a fish is a fish

I then caught a much bigger rockling that was a kind of purple colour, if anyone could help me identify the fish it would be much appreciated. So anyway, the people fishing beside me had cecided they had had enough as they had caught no fish and they left me their fresh lug

It was getting darker know and I had another coalie, 5 bearded rockling in quick succession and then a triple shot of two 5 bearded rockling and a codling around 30 cm. I had never caught a cod before so I was delighted, then I finished up with another codling last cast

Great session with three new species of fish for me, all fish were around 30 cm or under.
So the total was....: 4 five bearded rockling, 1 other kind of rockling, 2 codling and two coalies.
NOTE:most of the fish were takin on the floating beads I think they add great movement to the bait and they are glow in the dark
