weed on east cork beaches?

just woundering is a lotof weed now on da east cork beaches after last stormy week?

i was going to fish a comp on youghal beach on saturday night but it was cancelled due to to much weed on the beach
species 2010:20
wishlist:
cod over 5lbs!
a new match rod!!(accomplised k2 red metal!)

west cork and district sac
best fish 2010: 25lb conger eel

SPECIES 2011:= 2 species of rockling, colaie,codling whiting,pollock,gurnanrd,throback ray,grey gurnard
best fish 11 7 pound thornback ray

Fished Youghal Beach tonight no weed but plenty of fish :lol: :lol:
Specimen Fish 2024: Shore Rockling (3) 36cm, 34cm, 31cm; Thick Lipped Mullet (2) 58cm, 57cm; Smooth Hound (1) 109cm; Sting Ray (1)125cm; Ballan Wrasse (1) 48cm ; Corkwing Wrasse (1) 24.8cm. Golden Grey Mullet (2) 43cm, 1.8lb; 40.6cm, 1.55lb;
Total species boat/shore: 45

will try 2morow ballybranighan or inch beaches,hopefull nt so weedy...

hi, fished ballybranagan last sunday no weed lots of sand gone off the beach in places its alot more rockier in places than it was all along.

must give youghal another try soon!hows it fishing at the moment does anyone know?i saw you have a few nice species including cuckoo wrasse where did you pick up those beautys :shock:

Cuckoo wrasse from boat unless I am very much mistaken lol
