Well done mate great results and some cracking fish and great pics also. It is not looking too good for the weekend, but if there were some place where the weed were not too bad then some great fishing could be had and very good returns had.

Re: Bass & Cod sessions - Cork 31st Jan, 1st & 2nd Feb 2011
Thanks guys,

Thanks, it was pleasant surprise to get that many bass in January, especially after the cold weather in November and December - I thought they would be gone until at least March but I guess they must not move very far off shore and have come back in with the return of the southwesterlies.Crevan wrote:Thats some cracking fishing. Well done. Lovely fish.
A nice tally of Bass for January!!
Thanks Sean, might be worth trying the East Cork beaches, bass seem fairly plentiful there but there haven't been too many reports of West Waterford bass yet.seanie35 wrote:great report and fishing frank cant wait to get out fishing again looking like monday or tuesday when it staarts to calm down, i was out on a beach we both like (but opposite ends) on wednesday night not a tap but the surf wasnt as good as i had told it to be
It was windy!!! - I had a short session myself on Saturday, massive surf, probably too rough but I did manage to add another bass to my tallytomgrey wrote:Well done frank cracking sessions as usual. Thanks, my own razor too - I still have a freezer full of it from a couple of very successful collections last yearfishy1987 wrote:jesus those Bass look beautiful.a good few days there and multiple species brilliant, the flounder looks a right nice fish and the five bearded rockling a unusual fish cant wait to catch onewell done man!and on your on worms how ecconomical

Fantastic fishing yet again Frank. You really are starting to make me jealous
You can't beat the fresh lugworm and razor for bait, it very rarely lets you down and the bass just go mad for it
It's worth all that hard work digging for the lug when you catch nice plump fish like that! I will have to get that trip organised down to you this year for some serious bass action
An excellent report, well written with great detail as always, with great pictures to match. Well done.

I still have a freezer full of razor from last year, but I do know a good spot for big juicy lug provided the tide drops low enough.KERRY1 wrote:. I'll bring plenty of razor with me for us all, you can dig the worms!![]()
