People: myself and nthclare
Duration: 3.30 to 7
Tide: high at 4
Weather: windy and showery
Bait: fresh lug, frozen lug, mac, sandeel
Rigs: 2,3 hook flappers, pulley
Results: 1 flounder, 1 bass
Report: nth clare had the day off work so a quick session was organised - as i understood it we were going to a regular enough haunt of his - long story short after about an hour he picks out a flounder about 20cm
he tells me its his first flounder there!
then an hour later as it just got dark properly - he is telling me how he never got a bass on this beach either - then bang bang goes the rod tip beside us and he reels in a bass round the 3lb mark
third blank in a row now for me - but im turning out to be a bit of lucky charm for nth clare - those big juicy lug doing the trick for both fish
nth clare, 31st jan

Re: nth clare, 31st jan
It's been hit and miss there for a while now and although I have seen big flounder come out of it there has been very few since Christmas. And you are right big juicy lug seems to be the best bait although I have had flounder and bass on razor.
Well done on a few fish anyway

Well done to Nth Clare on the few fish. Hard luck on the blank Corby, the fish aren't exactly jumping out of the water on the east coast at the minute either

It ain't easy but it sure is simple!
