Ennereilly-31/01/11

#1 Post by Al »

People:m.b3, GarF & me

Duration:7:00pm-9:00pm

Tide:ebb

Weather:windy/cold/miserable

Bait:frozen blacks/mac/razor/prawn

Rigs:3 hook flappers, 3 hook clipped

Results:whiting, rockling, codling and flounder

We decided to head to Ennereilly to see what it was like..It was crap as it turns out! weather was windy and miserable and fishing was slow, all fish were small biggest was 25cm Flounder. I ended up with 4 pin whiting :( a small codling and a flounder, Mark had a whiting, small codling and a rockling I think, and unfortunately for gar it was not to be.

Can you tell I hate winter fishing :D

I apologise in advance for lack of photos, I can't compete with Roger or Dave so I won't try..also i'm lazy

Ah it's a good spot in summer time all right but it just one of them beaches that I don't like. The North beach is a b!tch to walk on, best described by eyesreilly (I think) as being more like Iwo Jima then a Wicklow beach.
