RAZORS

tide-nearly gone
result--razor fish

as the tide was at a low one today i headed down to a local mark to collect a few razors for a feed and for bait,,,tide was fully out at 1pm ,so followed it out collecting, ther was a post up a wile ago,as to how to collect them,,,so i,ll put up a few pics of the markings ,,in the water and out of the water,,and the result

2010 species----flounder,dab,whiting,doggies,coalfish,pollock,siver eel,sea trout,bass,ballen wrasse, thornback ray,mackerel,pouting,red gurnard,grey gurnard,conger eel,launce,mullet,ling,cod,tub gurnard,octopus,bull huss,3 bearded rockling,poor cod
2011 species----turbot,seatrout,flounder,whiting,coalfish,L s doggies,3 beard r

great post Jamie,it even helps old bucks like myself as well,went out the other day and didn't have a clue what I was doing,I will know better the next time :D you will have to do one for lug,rag,sandeel and anything else as well now :lol:

I was out picking them myself on saturday. got a fine haul too. I've never seen the holes like the ones in your photo. You couldn't tell where they are down where i get them most of the time. very rare that you'd see any hole at all. I just walk around the beach stamping my feet till i see a spurt of water come up from the sand. Great fun collecting them.
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark

Species 2015: Ballan wrasse, poor cod, pollack, ling, flounder, turbot, mackerel, whiting, lsd, dab, grey gurnard, pouting, cuckoo wrasse, cod
