Shore-angling in Dingle - Help!

#1 Post by bovenip »

Hi,
I've been fishing in Dingle since I was a kid but I'm situated in Dublin at the moment and because of that I only get to fish in Dingle a handfull of times each year with a few friends. Before I go down I always hop onto the internet to try to get the latest information, but more often than not it ends up being sketchy or out of date.
In an attempt to try to get some sort of list together of possible species/marks/baits available down there I was going to try to start up a site of my own (I bought http://www.dinglefishing.com but am just putting it together at the moment) where people could send catch reports, photos, mark locations etc... Unfortunately, we have no content besides a few pics of our pollack and conger from last year (no ray or bass after a whole week's fishing - boo!) so if anyone would like to contribute I would be very grateful. Could you send any images or text to bovenip@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance for any help!
Peter

Didn't realise Bob had a DVD. I'll have a look for it at the angling show. His books are a must if you intend to fish Dingle...... Every mark possible shared. :D

Hi

I have fished the whole area for about 12 years now and i have hundreds of pics scenery, marks, bass, ray, conger, wrasse, pollack and so on. what specifically do you need. most i have compressed so the are small enough to mail.

i can help you out with some info on a few marks too (all except my secret ones :D )

Cheers adam,
I'm really just looking for general marks to go on a map with pictures if they're available and any notes you'd like to add... Anything really - I have nothing! I moved the site up just now so you could have a rough idea of the sort of stuff I'm looking for people to send in (but its a work in progress! )

Thanks again for anything you send!

Cheers
Peter

Hi bovenip

you have my permission to use any of my pics from the two threads below. but i would like to retain copyright if thats ok and if you could mention that somewhere on the site that would be great. if they are what you are after i can send you more. and i will try to send some mark info too when i can.

ps am a former dub/current kildare man myself so we are looking at things from the same perspective

Thanks for all that Adam - putting your pages together now... What name do you want me to use for your copyright? (I'm just using Adam S at the moment but if you want me to change it you can mail me)

Thanks again for your help
