Monkstown Co. Cork

#1 Post by equium »

People:Me

Duration: 11.40 am - 15.20 pm

Tide:LW at 13.30pm

Weather: Suny, cold, no wind, litle shower at 14.40

Bait:Razor and Peeler

Rigs: dont know how to call it

Results: 6 Codling and 4 whiting (not sure)

I used 2 hooks, one with razor the other with peeler. 3 whitings and 1 codling came on razor, 1 whitign on peeler before low tide. When the water stopped I couldn't catch any fish. When it turned I caught 5 codlings all on peeler. Nothing on razor.
The fishes was very small, match smaller like I usually catch here. :(

How did you dispatch the bendy codling? If they suffocate they can sometimes end up a funny shape. The flared gills are a sign of suffocation as far as I know. A quick crack on the noggin might have produced a straighter looking fish.
List 2010. fish

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.
