Duration:7 till 1

Tide:rising

Weather:fine

Bait:peeler

Rigs:4/0 pennel

Results:12 codling/2coalies




Report:first time fishing in 2 weeks, first cast hooked and lost something decent then it went dead for a while as the tide turned then the weed came on something wicked but cleared after an hour, the fish came on the feed great fishing bite after bite got my biggest cod of the year about 11pm about 6lb then next cast same spot connected with something that felt even stronger again got a searing run off it rod doubled before it threw the hook i was gutted but done well anyways so cant complain 8)

Another belter Seannie, just how big do they get off your shore!?
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

heard of some good fish got lately a few 6lbers, an 8lber and a 72cm fish. i suppose a 10lber could be classed as a fish of a lifetime from the shore :shock:

nice fishing again sean well done i pulled out of the beach after an hour plagued with pickers headed back in along and caught couple keepers biggest was 3.5lb
