Using Squid

I got two boxes of squid today as I intend to use it off my boat during Christmas for cod,any tips on how to prepare the bait

toughest bait u will ever use.use the whole squid.excellent for ur cod

the lug sausage 8) chop off the head and tear out the insides stick your main hook through the top and thread it out the bottom of the skirt load on a few big lug on and up the snood,slide the squid down the snood over all the lug and wrap with bait elastic making sure you dont cover the hook bend or point,stick your pennel hook in the top, get a good sharp knife with a small point and stick a few small slits where you fancy to let the lug juice slowly leak out ,omg i,m salvating just thinking about it :lol:

maybe go pick sum mussels aswell and fill the squid body with them.put a few holes in the body to let the mussel scent out.whip him on and u have increased ur chances of a good cod
